What do I hate?

I hate bigotry dressed up as patriotism

I hate seeing children cry (especially when it could have been avoided)

I hate it when people dismiss the anime art form and call it “just cartoons for kids”.

I hate racism dressed up as national pride

I hate those who steal from others while pretending to help them

I hate political lies

I loathe and hate the marginalisation of societal groups dressed up as “protecting the children”.

I hate it when newspapers push lies to increase ad revenue

I hate when one group is made to suffer for the benefit of another, more powerful group.

I hate pain

I hate that there is so much to hate

Replying asked, What do you hate?

What is my jam?

In reply to: What’s your jam on OpenMentions:

My jam is anime – especially isekai.

My top 3 Isekai that I first watched this year:

Tsukimichi – Moonlit Fantasy

I started watching Tsukimichi after season 2 dropped. I can’t think how to review Tsukimichi without spoilers. Watch it. You will not be sorry.

Ascendance Of A Bookworm

A sweet slice of life isekai with a lot of heart. Fair warning – it will give you feelings. I binged the whole thing in just over a week. Now I’m waiting for the next season. A personal favourite that I wish I had found sooner.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation

Don’t hate me for this pick. I finally got round to watching Mushoku Tensei at the start of June this year. The main character is a bit of a self-absorbed a-hole to begin with but you get to see him grow as he slowly deals with all his trauma from his previous life. Stick with it past the first season and, like me, you will grow to love it.

Bonus mention: That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime

This is a must watch. That is all.
