Part of my work involves using generative AI and I can assure you that it is far dumber than you imagine. AI consumes gargantuan quantities of data and spits out fair to average results. Running AI servers comes with a surprisingly massive electricity bill.
For the time, effort, and money put in, AI is far from something that offers value for money. If you need to spot patterns in complex data, AI is great. For creative things activities, the best you can hope for is both derivative and mediocre. Anything an AI can create, humans can create better.
